Hello it's me Pea breaking a long hiatus. I've very little to show on here but I like these quotes from Gabrielle, Gloria, Helen and Yves. So here they are fo' your eyes only.
I have been very busy with Pharaoh duties, was in Berlin for a week, had quite a mountain of degree year stuff to get through and also found myself as the reluctant organiser of a ball for our faculty. But that's another day's worth of details to bore the tens and tens of you out there with.
Also! I caame up close in person with the Marni X H & M man bag which ironically has been, out of all the Poh Poh posts, the one which has garnered the most attention and I'm sorry to say it's not as nice in the flesh, or fabric at least! The shorts and shirts however were berhiful.
Also here is a nice song.
Also here is a nice song.
Ciao for now,

MARNI X H&M
A short post from a tired Pharaoh on Marni for H and M.
In brief I love it all. Pharaoh Pea would wear all of the garments designed for gentlemen bar the peaked cap. I'm particularly fond of the yellow outfit and bag du jour of yesterday's post as advertised by YSL and Mr Jacobs.
Enjoy and see y'all later when I return from some Germanic travels.

Just a quick post to prove PP is alive and well since I haven't been bo-bo-blogging to my tens and tens of readers during the ongoing fashion weeks. Have been a busy with school work as this year's a degree year. I had actually thrown together a post on Thom Browne and Sarah Burton's debut at London Fashion week but the images got deleted in photoshop. So here is a post on the MARNI X H&M bag I love for your eyes only. MARNI X H&M goes on sale next Thursday and the collaboration's a good'un!
The quote "We must never confuse elegance with snobbery" seemed fitting to the aim of the high street collaborations making style accessible to err'ybody. The Marc Jacobs/Louis Vuitton naked theme isn't a very rational one but Pharaoh Pea felt some nudity would spice up an otherwise thin post! Be back with more Marni X H&M soon.
Gros Bisous and ciao for now,
Pharaoh Pea

Monday Morning Manicure
Jasmin who is another architecture student, jolted Pharaoh Pea from bleary eyed to awake with this b.e.aut of a manicure. Jasmin's eclectic style is simple but very well put together. Pharaoh Pea's favourites include coca cola earrings from somewhere exotic and a gold sequined skirt from Zara. Holla. Enjoy.

Pretty Lady
Pharaoh Pea has taken to the street and this belle mademoiselle was his street-style find.
I've been threatening to venture out to the alleyways and harass strangers for a photo and their permission to spread their loverly style with the wider world via blogland. However I am without an SLR or an any way professional camera so fear for being mistaken for a regulah' perve. But luckily the subject of this post, my amigo Andreea, had a pretty fine camera herself so I saw my opportunity and asked to use for a quick few pictures of her ensemble. The outfit would be very nice indeedy for any day of the week but is especially impressive considering her destination on this day was a building site (she's studying architecture).
Muchos gracias being so obliging pretty lady.
Bisous.

Karl By Karl
Kaiser Karl, the man of many, many talents has added interviewing to his list of accomplishments. As Pharaoh Pea was unavailable for questioning he decided to interview himself as a substitute earlier this week. The interview was organised by net-a-porter, promoting his 2012 collections, which I wasn't actually a haw-haw-huge fan of. I was however very impressed by what walked down the runway (both of the aviation and fashion persuasions) last week in the Chanel Couture show, but that's another day's ramblings.
Apologies once again for another hiatus! My week off turned out to be as busy as a week on. I've spent much of it in transit, in fact this post is coming at you 5hrs before my next flight at an ungodly hour.
Anyway, I'll see y'all soon with a more substantial post in toe.
Bisous,
Pharaoh Pea

Outfit du Future.
Halohaw.
To my tens and tens of loyal follwers, apologies for my brief hiatus (although I'm sure you all managed to cope without my ramblings infesting your internet activity) - I had a several looming deadlines but thankfully am now work free for a one whole week.
With this free time I have constructed a time machine and traveled to the future to track down myself wearing Calvin Klein's latest offerings for Fall/Winter 2012.
Bubye for now,
Pharaoh Pea
Unfortunately I can't credit the photos as I was vehry tired indeedy throwing this post together

As you can see I'm very stressed. This is because I tried to take a shortcut but got lost and thus is late for work. Uh-oh-spagettio. I can exclusively reveal I didn't get any beef off my boss because they like the speckled navy suit and accompanying CK umbros so much and because, well I am a Pharaoh.
Here's some more of my favourite ensembles from the rest of the latest Calvin Klein collection which hit zha runway in Milan this Monday.
As a side note on my time travels I found out the world doesn't end this year and that capes will be seen widely on both genders. I'm sorry to disappoiny but I can't reveal anything on the U.S elections, the outcome of the completely ridiculous SOPA and PIPA proposed legislation or any big events from 2012 because I made a pact with Marty McFly to stay hush, hush.

Versace X H&M - gone cruising.
The full Versace X H&M big finale lookbook and campaign was released during the week. The cruise collection goes on sale exclusively online from the 18th of January. It's all much less Miami Vice c1985 and much more inline with some of the offerings for spring/summer 2012. Although Pharaoh Pea would be more satisfied if Donatella had drawn up some repetitive vegtable patterns, the playful fruit prints are well recieved none the less.
Chaw, chaw - check the full cruise collection on vogue here. And click here to see the videos
In other news here are two more virals I can't stop watching. The first of Rick Mereki and friends wandering around the globe and the second of Pharaoh Pea's close friend depressed robot also making tracks around the U S of A in his pimped out automobile. Alsos incase you missed the last Jalouse post, Ashley Smith's back making all the bitchez jealous.

A Girl something, something, something
I haven't even finished sharing my thoughts on 2011 and I'm already reblogging something that's come from 2012. This video by Matthew Frost for Jalouse is vell vorth a vatch - just an average day in the life of a girl something, something, something (also very similar to the typical day of Pharaoh Pea and buddies - no big deal or whatever).
Click right here to see it for yo'self. Hopefully my next post will be my own content.

Holla, a look at 2011
As 2012 fast approaches, a year that claims to be take the world into an apocolyptic meltdown, I've decided to take a look back over 2011 a year which has been significant in its own right.
In Europe there were monetary woes and riots. In Egypt we saw great unrest and cival war in Libia. We looked on at - natural disaster and nuclear worry in Japan; the continued war on minerals in Congo with over 5 million dead since 2003; unrest in Bahrain; a royal wedding; the first artificial windpipe; famine in Somalia; rightwing terrorism in Norway; lots of floods with the Phillipines and Thailand under water; Turkish quakes; over seven billion faces counted on the planet; spaces shuttles went on excursions to Mrs and Jupiter; the deaths of Mr Bin Laden, Gaddafi and Kim Jong - Il; and lots and lots of tears in Korea.
The above isn't especially uplifting. A friend said to me once that if you focus on the all the bad things that go on in the world, as there are so many of them, you would never get over them and trying to apply a logic to it is incomprehendable. So then I will share 52 points, one for each lovely day of the year, mainly good points on the year in fashion, style and a few pieces in between! Apologies for already meandering and for the meandering I already know I will do.
Much love and bisous,
1. Bill Cunningham New York
The New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham and a true style veteran could lift the spirits of anyone. A documentary was made following him in his modest everyday life. It's one of the best films I've seen this year and is fitting as anything to start Pharaoh Peas's top 52 for 2011. Enjoy
2 . Elin Kling X H&M
The announcement of a refreshing collaboration between Swedish blogger Elin Kling and H & M. The romance came to fruition in Febuary and was released in stores exclusively in Sweden with 10% of its profits going to UNICEF. It was great to see H & M valuing someone on their own soil and not an internationally famed fashion house in aid of a good cause.

3 . Mr. Galliano in a kerfuffle
In Febuary it was announced John Galliano, the then head of Dior and King of wildly creative shows and swooshing fabrics, made abusive anti-semitic comments after a day on the booze to combat the stresses of the upcoming shows. This upset Jews all around the world and utimately resulted in Natalie Portman's strong condemnation and withdrawl from the Miss Dior campaign and John's very public sacking. Pharaoh Pea was actually visiting Paris and in the Marais the night it happened but was busy in the Pomidou, Muji and eating falfels and didn't encounter the heavily intoxicated Mnr Galliano. Dior post John has been very different but that story's for another point on this list.
4 . A Royal Announcement
Coversely a positive announcement did come also in Febuaray. Miss Catherine Middleton and Prince Willy decided to tie their respective knots. William proposed to Ms Middleton with the ring of Pharaoh Pea's favourite Royal Princess Diana. The wedding was to be one of the most widely anticipated events on the year and was watched by over two billion worldwide.
5. PARIS Autumn/Winter 2011 Show : Louis Vuitton
As always Febuary and March were busy months for the discerning members of the fashion world rolling into NYC, LND, Paris and Milan.
Marc really has really excelled at Vuitton in recent years and the Autumn/Winter 2011 show was no exception. We saw the gendarme chasing femmes dressed very risque. A sort of fetish spectacular topped off by Kate Moss fuming her cigarette down the runway.
6. Paris Autumn/Winter 2011 Show : Alexander Mcqueen
Sarah Burton proved herself as a designer in her own right in more ways than one since the death of the late Lee McQueen. Her Autumn/Winter collection was extremely strong and was a feminine stamp on the previously dark and brooding, but magnificent collections of Alexander Mcqueen.
Sarah Burton proved herself as a designer in her own right in more ways than one since the death of the late Lee McQueen. Her Autumn/Winter collection was extremely strong and was a feminine stamp on the previously dark and brooding, but magnificent collections of Alexander Mcqueen.
7. MILAN Autumn/Winter 2011 Show : Gucci
Gucci was back in the form of rich 70's Gucci, Gucci, glamour in March. The rich colours paraded down the catwalk in richer fabrics were the mark of a romantic woman who was a force to be reckoned with. And she was looking fiiiiiiiine. Although these ladies might not listen, Pharaoh Pea would advise switching to faux fur.
8. MILAN Autumn Winter 2011 Show - Dolce & Gabanna - Boy/Girl/Girl/Boy
There was a sharp contrast of ultra masculine suited women and very feminine ladies in dresses on the Dolce and Gabbanna runway. Stefano et Dominico matching the mood in general have been much more playful this year - lahts of sequins and lahts of stars. Menswear has been equally impressive with much more colour than womenswear. A very steamy campaign was to put together, everyone looking very sexy, a heavily photoshopped Madonna included.
10. Videos of the Year: The Mountain
In contrast to the devastation caused by the natural world in Japan, here's a video chronicling the stunning beauty in it also.

9. Earthquakes in Japan
In the middle of March 2011, a natural disater that happened that sent chilling vibrations through us all and literally shook Japan to the core. The only good thing to come of this was seeing anyone with any morsol of compassion and empathy in their souls coming together once again n times of trouble and offering their help to Japan in the form of aid and sympathy.

11. Videos of the Year: Anderson gets the Giggles.
The video of Mr Copper's girly, infectious giggles during his Anderson 360 speaks for itself.
12. Videos of the Year: The Flight of the Frenchies
My draw dropped for all three minutes watching this.
13. Videos of the Year -
14. Alexander McQueen Retrospective - Savage Beauty - NYC
A traveling exhibition, showing a comprehensive range of the incredible body of work produced by the late Lee McQueen before his death in early 2010, began at the Met NYC in May. This year we've also seen travelling exhibitions by Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Bvlgari amoung others and more and more houses choosing to curate exhibits of still standing models as opposed to the traditional fashion show. The McQueen Retrospective was extremely well recieved with over 700,000 visitors coming to see the touching tribute to the work of Britan's biggest innovator in fashion for the first decade of the 21st century.
15. A Royal Dress
Speaking of McQueen, Sarah Burton proves herself for a second time on this list as a accomplished designer in her own right when she recieved the biggest commision of the year - the design of two dresses which would be watched by over 2 billlion. Kate Middleton got all her threads for her royal nuptuals from Burton. All information relating to the dress was very strictly hush, hush and it was only partially confirmed when a hooded figure resembling Burton was seen entering Middleton's hotel the Thursday before the wedding. And what a b.e.a.utiful dress it was although Pippa's dress and more importantly what it did to her junk in dha trunk garnered much more attention on the day.

16. Flavour of the Year PRADA Creeper
The PRADA platform espadrill cum brogue was one of Pharaoh Peas favourite shoes to come out of 2011. They ha ha ha highly coveted this Summer regardless of the want to be wearer's gender.
17. Flavour of the Year - Mark McNairy
The recently establish Mark McNairy New Amsterdam is one of Pea's favourites of 2011 in the line of footwear. McNairy's line is completely manufactured by zhe Brits in North Hampshire, England. No slave labour for Mark pleaze and thankz.
18. Flavour of the Year - Baron Wells
Baron Wells is definitely one of my favourite design collective that 2011 has exposed to me. Would thread myself in pretty much all of their offerings if I had unlimited Pharaoh funds and a transatlantic flight wasn't necessary to access the goods. The Manhattan based company are like a lovechild of Britans You Must Create (Y.M.C) and Parisean Ateilier Production Creation (A.P.C) with an Ivy League education and more of a sense of humour i.e. better. They also sell prints and artwork and definitely are not your run of the mill fashion house.
19. Flavour of the Year - Tod's Loafers
These have been around for years but have standed the test of time, although maybe not the rain. I've seen them dissed more than once in 2011 and would have to disagree with all the haters and say I am a fan of Tod's collection of suede shoes.

20. Met Ball
21. London is Burning
In August explosive riots erupted from the center of London and gradually spread their way throughout England. Bored, angry and disillusioned youths mindlessly rioted, looted and made significant efforts to set areas of of the city into flames. Copycats took the streets in other major English cities with climax of 3 tragic deaths in Birmingham. David Cameron reluctantly excused himself from his Tuscan holiday and came home with a no nonsense approach.
The government were criticised widely for their slow reaction time to the riots and by the rioters for the removal of infrastructure for the underprivledged in a tough times for tout le monde.
22. Libya
In late August the Libyan rebels finally managed to seize control of their country, entering Tripoli and defeating Gaddafi and his army. The unyielding, irrational dictator's rule was officially brought to an end and after several months in hiding Gaddafi was executed in October.
As a side note I would just like to get out there that while pharaohs are typically portrayed as ruthless dictators, Pharaoh Pea doesn't condone or empathise with Gaddafi or dictatorship in general.
And aslo I noticed during the news coverage that Gaddafi had some eviable items in his wordrobe but his ugly personality made the clothes look as unattractive as he himself is. If you act like an arsehole you're going to look like an arsehole regardless of beautiful clothing you might own, when an absolute bitch wears couture she still an absolute bitch.

23. Pull and Bear Online
Pull and Bear launched their online shop this year. While this may not seem like breaking news to many, it was a very welcome development for Pharaoh Pea as the number of Pull and Bear shops throughout Ireland and the UK continue to dwindle. Pull and Bear clothed me throughout my early teens and I can credit its fine folks with introducing me to Prince Pelayo and his buddy Gerard of icanteachyouhowtodoit fame. As part of their online shops debut they offered cameras to the first 1500 shoppers but unfortunately the site crashed under the pressah' and Pharaoh Pea was without garments and a sweet-ass lomography camera.

24. Sleaze of the Year - Silvio Berlusconi
An abundance of morons have been shot to fame for all the wrong reasons in 2011 - amoung them the leader of Italy - Silvio Berlusconi. In September the womanising Prime Minister of Italy was condemned by Queen Wintour herself who said of the right-wing ruler - "I have no other words. I am disgusted and embarrassed"
"How can Italy tolerate Silvio Berlusconi and his bevy of girls?"
She wants to see all dha gurlz protesting what is "in effect a dictatorship".

32. Hairstyle of the Year - The Pompadour
33. Hair of the Year - George Lamb
Unfortunately there only seems to be a small minority of us who are positive about the greying process. All the foxiest foxes are silver and George Lamb is a case in point. I've been envious of his salt and pepper locks for years. This year he's followed suit with the gentlemen above and pulled a razor to his back and sides.
34. Ad Campaign - Lanvin Fall/Winter
This campaign for Lanvin went viral in August. It shows some Lanvin beauties and Mr Elbaz himself getting down and durty to Pitbull's "You know you want me" and has an accompanying ads in all the major magazines. Pharaoh Pea has been doing these sweet-ass moves in dha club ever since.
35. Ad Campaign - YSL Fall/Winter Video
I liek this very much, especially the backing track remix of LCD Soundsytem "I Can Change". The collection very nice indeedy also. Hot gossip has been flying around that the Gucci Group are not happy with Pilati's performance as creative director but I gots to stand by my man Stefano and what he has to show.

38. Last Jil Sander for Uniqlo
Raf Simons at Jil Sanders has hung up his high street sissors and unfortunately severed ties with Uniqlo. Here is the last +J collaboration he did for Fall/Winter 2011.
39. MoMA Film Benefit - a tribute to Pedro Almodóver
Chanel couture was out in force in November when Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour co chaired the New York Museum of Modern Art's 4th Film Benefit in honour of Spanish director Almodóver. 1 million smackaroos were raised. Unfortunately Pharaoh Pea was washing huur and couldn't attend.
40. H &M X Versace
41. H & M X Marni
Just two weeks after the Versace collaboration went down the runway H & M announced it's upcoming marriage of creativity to the Italian designer Marni. Pharaoh Pea looks forward to the release in March. Holla.

44. Dior Post-John and New Head of Dior ?
Emma Watson also gets a mention for having the balls to get a mop-chop so short.
46. People of 2011 - Ryan Gosling
47. People of 2011 - Carine Roitfeld & Gloria Vanderbilt
Carine and Gloria are both incredible. They're people of the year 2011 for their attitude towards age and the example they've set. Carine has proved that over 50s are still valuable to the employment brigade as she continues to work on a book and other endevours after retiring as editor-in-chief of French Vogue.

Gloria has had her fair share of ups and downs in her difficult life and still comes out looking fantastic, with a sharp mind and still having sex at 87 years old.
48. People of 2011 - Queen Bee
Beyoncé, Queen of the world and first lady of popular music has never been more popular. And Mamma B is now very heavily with child. Hopefully 2012 will grant a safe birth to music royalty.
