Versace for (all) the ladies.

This post is slightly overdue as I've been a busy Peaver etc. (so I hope you haven't been waiting too anxiously to view it my loyal following of one). Anyway here's the womenswear produce of the Versace and H&M romance. Ms. Versace and H and M put on a big show in New York on Tuesday to celebrate their brief love affair.
Royalty was represented in the form of two Princes, however HRH Queen Wintour was M.I.A. Prince Pelayo joined blog buddies like Bryan Boy and fashiontoast, while Prince and Nicki Minaj serenaded Mark Ronson, Blake Lively, Alexander Wang, Jessica Alba, Uma Turman, Versace's own Christopher Kane and other fortunate guests.
Like I said in the previous post on Versace for the boys overall the collaboration has been a great success. It represents the Versace archives and is a lovely homage to the late Gianni. Donnatella described it as "The Greatest Hits".
While I'm enamoured by most of the ad campaign I find two outfits slightly dubious. One is a confusing two toned blue, floral print dress with matching cut off leggings; the other is a cushion. You'll see what I'm refering to when you scroll down! While you're free to wander around in outfit that doesn't meet my taste I feel obliged to urge you, please don't take inspiration from the lookbook and start wandering around wearing only household objects. I have to discourage trying the naked holding only a cushion ensemble. It's best left for the clinically insane or within the confines of the boudoir and certainly not for the public.
Cha-cha-check Pharaoh Pea's top fives along with the video of the ad campaign and the show in full way down there.
Versace for H and M goes on sale online and in stores on Thursday 17th November
Ciao, Ciao,

VERSACE for H and M (Gentlemen)

Here's the men's campaign and look book for the Versace/ H and M collaboration. Although the collection is probably a step Miami Vice too far for Pharaoh Pea to pull off, it's a very succesful one. It's one which covers the Versace archives very well and is a very nice homage to the late Gianni. You can checkah, checkah it on Versace, H and M or Vogue. My favourite past collaborations have been Lanvin and Victor and Rolf.
The collection goes on sale the 17th of November (19th in the Unites States of Emericaw) and for any hermits/ those not living within walking distance of the selceted stores it's being sold in, it can be bought online on the H and M website.
Be back soon avec Versace for the ladies and some Versace du Jour.
Enjoy,
Pharaoh Pea

Xevi Muntané - PHOTOGRAPHER

Although posting pictures of the beautiful semi-emaciated, semi-naked Sheila my be slightly contradictary to my last post and the fundamental message of Miss Representation here they are anyway.
They were taken by the incredible fashion photographer, Xevi Muntané, for Marie Claire Italia last April. He's Spanish but currently based in NYC and takes an unbolieveabubble photograph (subjects ranging from Pull and Bear to Couture). His website's worth a click onto just to see it's layout alone.
I'll stop the ramble here and say ciao for now and see y'all when I've something on Versace for H and M which goes on sale Nov 17th. Enjoy.
Ciao, ciao.

Miss Representation - Sundance Film Fest 2011

This trailer looks a bit like the director Jennifer Siebel Newson has been working part-time making Apple commercials and there's a few cringey snipits, but overall this is pretty interesting. Checkah, checkah -
This is a longer version for those of you with a bit more time on your hands
And since I've gotten so off topic onto the area of mistreated women here's a trailer for the documentary on Princess Diana's death which was shown at Cannes -
All very uplifting. Pharaoh Pea will be back soon with some less sombre findings.
Ciao for now.

Outfit Du Jour

Original images courtesy of MRPORTER.com where if you got the doller you can buy the clothes
Although it doesn't embody the spirit of tomorrow's Hallow's Eve (unless you fear 2D panthers) and isn't suitible for trick or treating these garments will keep P.Pea at a comfortable temperature on the penultimate day of Autumn before full-on Winter regalia is necessary. The shoes will withstand being kicked through scatterings of fallen leaves but as they're part suede, should maybe forgoe the wet.
Ciao for now,

P.Pea
